Chrysalis

Chrysalis is Gladiolus' debut single, an explosive first taste of what's to come from the Brisbane-based prog metal outfit. The song combines expansive ambient soundscapes with crushing riffs, lulling the listener into a trance at one moment and sonically assaulting them the next.

“This material is something we’ve been toiling away at for half a decade now. While it’s been a little slow going and we’ve had quite a few obstacles to overcome, it feels good to say that we can finally see everything coming together and adopting its true shape. I think that Chrysalis is a great representation of the emotions we’re feeling right now. The theme of the track really matches up - finally being able to see the form that our art is taking, and what we always wanted it to become being within grasping distance. I’m looking forward to what’s next for us! ” – Dan Hendrex, guitarist/vocalist and co-producer.
