The Wanderer

The Wanderer represents a more stripped back and open side of the band’s sound. The track is in many ways the inverse of Chrysalis, leaving a lot of space for the listener to get lost inside of before laying into them with the bombastic wall of sound. The Wanderer ebbs and flows, weaving between Dan Hendrex’s brooding vocals, the rhythm section’s driving groove and intricate guitar-work that astounds and inspires. Every listen of The Wanderer reveals more detail, hidden away waiting to be discovered.

“We seek to explore the paralysis that choice can sometimes present. We can grow old having achieved nothing because we are stuck spending our lives deciding what to do with the limited time we have been given. This is a track for people living in their heads too much, whether it’s from nostalgia or contemplating things that could have been or could be. It’s a kick in the backside to get out there and actually start exploring some of the options life has presented you. The Wanderer drifts along, basking in each possible choice without savoring any of them. While this contemplative inaction can be comforting and blissful, it leads nowhere.” - Anson Nesci, bassist and co-producer

The Wanderer gives another glimpse of an overarching concept much larger than the two singles alone can convey, however you’ll need to wait a little while longer before the rest can finally surface.
